Seek the beauty within imperfection
Yesterday I mentioned that muses aren’t real. It occurs to me that it might be useful to explain that a little more thoroughly. Writer’s block is a commonly used term even though it’s less than a hundred years old.
We have romanticized all forms of artistic creation to the extent that it is more harmful than beneficial.
All art is imperfect, but that doesn’t mean that it is not beautiful.
All of the art that you make will be imperfect. The art that you don’t make won’t be imperfect. It will be nonexistent.
Create imperfection and look for the beauty contained within it.
