A Hemingway quote
The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places. Ernest Hemingway I don’t know where or when he said this, and should probably double check that, but even if it is made up nonsense never said by Hemingway, it is a quote that I like a lot and fits in with…
More beautiful than imperfect
Today was simply a wonderful day in a lot of ways. I hope it was for you as well, dear reader. I’m sure there were imperfections somewhere but I don’t remember noticing any.
What a wonderfully imperfect day
Today was a really rainy day, but not problematic weather, around me at least. And while this was frequently annoying to deal with, it led to a beautiful sunset and a lot of relaxing time on the porch with a book since most of the other things I needed to do needed to be done…
More sunrise nonsense
The best thing about seeing a red sky in the morning is remembering that I’m not a sailor, and I almost certainly won’t drown because of problematic weather. It is a large silver lining for the storm clouds that are on their way? No, but one advantage to getting up before everyone else is nobody…
Watching the sunrise

I started a new project today, which is something that should be fairly easy for me to do. And doing it isn’t a problem. But arranging it into my existing schedule was a larger problem than I expected. Regardless of problems caused, however, I achieved today’s goals and set more realistic goals for tomorrow. Any…
A beautiful day
Were there any imperfections contained within today? Probably, but they were insignificant. When perfections are insignificant enough, they can barely be said to exist. But, when imperfections are significant, then it is worth doing some work to make them less imperfect.
My hopes
I hope that anyone reading this, now or any day in the future, has a beautiful, though imperfect, day. Look for ways to make your day as beautiful as possible. Compliment people that you see. Eat a meal that you cherish. Read a book that you love. Create something that you are proud of.
Absent Imperfections
While I can’t completely say that today was perfect, there really aren’t any imperfections that I noticed. The weather was nice. The traffic wasn’t bad. I didn’t accomplish as much as I had hoped to, but I accomplished a pretty good amount. Sometimes it’s good to have a day without significant wins or losses. Today…
