An interesting quote

I got this from Tim Ferriss’s facebook page, but it’s probably on his other social media as well.

I never really considered myself a visual artist of any sort. My drawing and painting skills are mediocre at best. One of the reasons that I like kintsugi so much is that there isn’t a “correct” or even a “best” way to do it. It has to be done differently every time in a way that is entirely unpredictable and dependent on the piece being worked on. If I do it incorrectly, the piece won’t go back together and the reason for failure is clear. When I draw something badly, I have no clear way to understand what I did wrong, just that it was done wrong.

With kintsugi, I can hopefully help people to see the beauty that lies within imperfections of all sorts. We all contain imperfections. Some are visible, some are not. But they exist. And we are all beautiful.
